It's time...

"I've dealt with my ghosts and I've faced all my demons
Finally content with a past I regret
I've found you find strength in your moments of weakness
For once I'm at peace with myself
I've been burdened with blame, trapped in the past for too long
I'm movin' on

I've lived in this place and I know all the faces
Each one is different but they're always the same
They mean me no harm but it's time that I face it
They'll never allow me to change
But I never dreamed home would end up where I don't belong
I'm movin' on

I'm movin' on
At last I can see life has been patiently waiting for me
And I know there's no guarantees, but I'm not alone
There comes a time in everyone's life
When all you can see are the years passing by
And I have made up my mind that those days are gone

I sold what I could and packed what I couldn't
Stopped to fill up on my way out of town
I've loved like I should but lived like I shouldn't
I had to lose everything to find out
Maybe forgiveness will find me somewhere down this road
I'm movin' on"

- Rascal Flatts, I'm Movin' On

Maybe it's time...

"all the world is
all i am
the black of the blackest ocean...

maybe i ain't used to maybes
smashing in a cold room
cutting my hands up...

maybe maybe it's time
to wave goodbye now
time to wave goodbye now

caught a ride with the moon
i know i know you well
well better than i used to
HAZE all clouded up my mind
in the DAZE of the why
it could've never been
so you say and i say
you know you're full of wish
and your "baby baby baby babies"
i tell you they're pieces of me
you've never seen
maybe she's just pieces of me
you've never seen well"

I met an Angel today...

Thought y'all would get a kick out of my adventures this morning...

My life is certainly never dull - nor is it lacking interesting characters - I seem to be a magnet for them.

Was on the bus this morning going into town and there is this guy... Wearing ratty jeans - hot pink leg warmers with silver tinsel - a shirt that I think survived Woodstock (and hasn't been washed since) and a fisherman's cap. The appearance was odd enough on it's own (though I did covet those snazzy leg warmers). Oh! And his work boots were in a grocery sack dangling from his arm. He was also holding one lone, raw hot dog like a magic wand ala Harry Potter... Now what made it really interesting is he was singing the song from The Smurfs under his breath (you know, the La La La La song) but at the end of every verse (?) he would bark - just one short "bwarp" and shake like a dog shaking off water and then raise his hot dog in the air and shout (at the TOP of his lungs: "PRAISE JESUS!" or "PRAISE SANDRA!!!" or "HALLELUJAH!!!" The first time he shouted he startled me so bad I fell of my seat and into the floor...

But anyway - his name was Angel and he is waiting for them to let him fly away home but instead he rides the magic bus.... "Beep beep!" he says.

And then we are back to the Smurfs again.

What a morning.

Praise Sandra!

I love public transportation. I just wish I would have had my camera with me.
