Rabbity Rewind

I am pretty sure this is a repost, I just can't find where I posted it prior.  Thought I would dust it off and let it dance with the Devil in the pale moonlight, especially in light of the passing of yet another 'decade more.'

Another Chapter

thorn crowned

bearing truths and pasts

weighty aspirations

of dreamers

fallen short

a decade more

secure in their blankets

freeing; fleeing

remaining

barbed, branded and broken

escape inevitable

but never coming

phoenix flames

slowly burning to ash

awaiting only

another chapter
